If you apply with your Grade 11 results, you may be admitted on the condition that you pass your final NSC or equivalent exam, and that your results meet the conditions set for the programme you applied for.

This status means that the College office has reached its maximum number of students for a class to be full.

What is the difference between a conditional and final offer?

If you apply with your Grade 11 results, we may admit you on the condition that you pass your final NSC or equivalent exam, and your results meet the conditions set for the programme you applied for. This would be a conditional offer.

Final offer is made based on your final Grade 12 results released at the beginning of the entry year. You will have three days to accept this final offer; if not, the offer will lapse.

Does UKZN accept late applications?

Late Applications may be allowed for certain programmes depending on the College office having reached its targets or not. Please note that an additional fee for a late application will be charged.

I made a mistake on my application while applying, can I edit it to correct the mistake or upload a missing document?

No, you will have to communicate with the College office that your application has been sent to and see if they will be able to add or change the missing information before their shortlisting.

Can I receive multiple offers?

You can apply and be considered for more than one programme/degree. Meaning it is possible that you receive more than one offer from your programme choices. However, you may accept only one offer at any given time.

If I accept a conditional officer of a programme that was not my first choice, will I still be considered for my first one? Or others that I applied for?

If you accept a conditional offer while waiting for the outcome of another programme application, this will have no influence on such other applications whatsoever. You will still be considered for the other programmes.

Once you receive the conditional offer that you would like to accept, you may decline any other conditional offers that you have accepted up until then.

How do I decline an already made offer for another offer?

To decline an already accepted final offer in order to accept another offer, fill in the non-acceptance of offer part on the offer form only, and submit to the relevant faculty officer/administrator to cancel the offer you already accepted.
